"OFFICIAL TRUMPETER / CHEER LEADER OF MONTREAL'S MAJOR SPORTS TEAMS" Kid Mercury began his sports celebrity career when he appeared at the Montreal Expos (Major League Baseball) games dressed in a large cape, a special hat with lightning bolts or wings (Mercury being the son of Zeus, the winged messenger) and his now very famous trusty gold trumpet. Kid was the first official mascot trumpeter for Major League Baseball. He very quickly caught the attention of most sports and media reporters and broadcasters in North America and locally was an underground hero with his humour, and his talent at reciting incredible sports poetry on local talk shows. His mystique and fame grew very quickly in Montreal. His costumes changed over the years but 2 things always remained the trumpet and the lightning bolt cap. Soon Kid Mercury began appearing at the Montreal Forum where he became famous blowing his trumpet as the "Official trumpet player for the Montreal Canadiens" hockey team. For 15 years, Kid was part of the success of the atmosphere at the Montreal Forum (he is featured in 2 famous collectors hockey books.. "The History of The Montreal Forum" and " Lions in Winter "). Hockey fans everywhere saw him lead his team to 2 Stanley Cup victory parades (where he performed on elaborate floats). Players welcomed his enthusiastic cheering and now famous trumpet charges from the original DA DA DA DAT DA DA CHARGE, to the Na Na Na - NA, taps, revile and many other original tunes. Kid Mercury was also once hired by the "Montreal Alouettes Football Club" in the CFL and had been a permanent part of their team for a few years and a huge crowd favorite. He attended the Grey Cup game in Edmonton and cheered his Als on to victory (Kid Mercury was the CFLs representative at the Grey Cup Game held in Montreal in the year 2001). He performed live in front of over 65,000 at the Olympic Stadium, appearing with his trumpet and many costume changes to the delight of the enthusiastic crowd. A true Sports Celebrity. Jetais le trompettiste des Canadiens et des Alouettes alors je joue quelques airs sur ma trompette mais lévénement principal est la magie. Votre enfant devient mon assistant durant tout le spectacle. Je travaille avec des animaux vivants, des colombes que je fait apparaître et disparaître et que les enfants peuvent caresser. Les numéros sont clownesques, très drôles, fou rires garantis.
